Terms of Use
Tabular — Last updated: May 2026
By downloading, installing, or using Tabular ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Description of Service
Tabular is a table extraction tool that uses on-device processing to recognize tables in photos and scanned documents. All processing happens locally on your device.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Tabular only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not use the app to process content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
Tabular offers auto-renewable subscriptions to unlock export features. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions).
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Subscription prices are displayed in the app and may vary by region.
4. Intellectual Property and License
Tabular, including its design, code, icons, and copy, is the intellectual property of the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Tabular for your personal or internal business purposes on devices you own or control. You may not redistribute, sublicense, sell, rent, lease, or commercially exploit the app itself.
5. No Reverse Engineering
You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, modify, or create derivative works of Tabular or any part of it, except to the extent that such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
6. Apple-Specific Terms
Because Tabular is distributed through the App Store, the following terms apply in addition to the rest of this agreement:
- Acknowledgement. These Terms are concluded between you and the developer only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its contents.
- Scope of License. The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use Tabular on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, including Family Sharing.
- Maintenance and Support. The developer is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for Tabular. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
- Warranty. The developer is responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of Tabular to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
- Product Claims. The developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Tabular or your possession and use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
- Intellectual Property Rights. In the event of any third-party claim that Tabular or your use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, the developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.
- Legal Compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-Party Beneficiary. You and the developer acknowledge that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.
7. Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may stop using Tabular at any time. We may suspend or terminate your right to use the app if you materially violate these Terms. Provisions concerning intellectual property, no reverse engineering, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and the Apple-specific terms above survive termination.
8. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, constitute the entire agreement between you and the developer regarding Tabular and supersede any prior understandings on the subject.
9. Disclaimer
Tabular is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or that table extraction will be perfectly accurate. You are responsible for verifying extracted data before use.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from or related to your use of the app.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
