By downloading, installing, or using Aurora ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Aurora is an on-device migraine diary for iOS. It uses local computation (SwiftData, Apple Charts, Apple Health, WeatherKit) to log migraine attacks, analyze triggers, monitor medication overuse per ICHD-3, and generate doctor-ready PDF reports. All processing happens on your device; no data is transmitted to external servers operated by us.
Aurora is free to use forever for core logging, MOH warnings, the basic menstrual module, the HIT-6 and MIDAS questionnaires, and 1 PDF report per month.
Aurora Plus adds advanced analytics and is offered as:
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via Apple's In-App Purchase system. Auto-renewable subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
The Aurora Plus Annual plan includes a 7-day free trial managed by Apple. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your Apple ID will be charged for the annual subscription. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and is typically available only once per Apple ID.
All three Aurora Plus purchases (Monthly, Annual, Lifetime) support Apple's Family Sharing. Members of your Apple Family Group will gain access to Aurora Plus features as long as the subscription remains active.
You agree not to:
The App, including its design, code, and methodology implementations, is the intellectual property of the developer. Your migraine logs, daily check-ins, medication records, and any other data you create in the App belong to you. The App does not claim any rights to your content.
You should not rely solely on Aurora's output for any medical decision. Always discuss diagnosis, treatment, and medication changes with a qualified healthcare provider.
Statistical analyses, predictions, and warnings produced by Aurora are based on self-reported data and on-device computation. They are not guaranteed to be complete or accurate, and they may be sensitive to logging consistency. Aurora is not for pediatric migraine (under 14 years), cluster headaches, or tension headaches without a migrainous component.
If you grant HealthKit access, Aurora reads selected biometric signals and writes headache events back to Health as standard HKCategoryTypeIdentifier.headache samples. You can revoke per-type access at any time in iOS Settings. Apple's HealthKit terms apply to all Health data interactions.
The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, inaccurate analytics, missed notifications, or medical decisions made on the basis of App output.
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. The developer reserves the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time. Apple's standard refund and subscription cancellation policies apply.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
