By downloading, installing, or using SessionScribe ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

SessionScribe is an on-device audio recording and transcription application. It uses machine learning models running locally on your device to convert speech to text and identify speakers. All processing occurs on your device; no data is transmitted to external servers.

2. Subscription Plans

SessionScribe offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription (Pro):

• Free: Up to 30 minutes per session, 90 minutes per month, text-only export (.txt), 1 AI enhancement and 1 AI analysis per month, no speaker labels, no search
• Pro (Monthly or Annual): Unlimited session length, unlimited monthly transcription, speaker labels, search, all export formats, unlimited AI enhancement and AI analysis, batch processing

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via Apple's In-App Purchase system. Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

3. Free Trial

New users may receive a limited introductory experience with full Pro features for their first recordings. After this introductory period ends, the account reverts to the Free tier. Some subscription plans may also offer a free trial period managed by Apple. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your Apple ID will be charged for the subscription. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and may be available only once per Apple ID.

4. Recording Laws and User Responsibility

You agree not to use the App for any purpose that violates applicable laws, including but not limited to unauthorized recording of conversations.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the machine learning models bundled with the App
• Use the App to infringe on the rights of others
• Redistribute or resell any part of the App

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and machine learning models, is the intellectual property of the developer. Your recordings and transcripts belong to you. The App does not claim any rights to your content.

7. Accuracy Disclaimer

Transcription and speaker identification are performed by machine learning models and are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate. You should not rely solely on the App's output for critical, legal, or medical purposes without independent verification.

8. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, inaccurate transcriptions, or missed recordings.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. The developer reserves the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
